Dressage for Jumpers

I am excited to offer a new program at Flower Mound Farm in partnership with hunter/jumper rider and trainer, Lauren Eisele. Lauren is a hunter/jumper trainer who competes locally on the NTHJC circuit and at A shows all over the United States. She has been a part of the equestrian industry for 16 years. She is currently competing in the 1.20m Jumpers, the 3' Hunters, and the National Derbies. In addition to specializing in importing top quality prospects from Europe, Lauren is also a chiropractor for humans and animals. This really allows her to understand the proper biomechanics of the horse and rider.  She then incorporates those skills into her teaching style.

Our dressage for jumpers training program is for riders who want to discover how dressage training can have a significant positive impact on their jumping program.  Whether you are a hunter, jumper, or event rider, using the gymnastic tools of dressage to increase balance, suppleness, straightness and adjustability will bring even more satisfaction and enjoyment to your jumping program.  Or, if you are a dressage rider who wants to add some variety to your horse's program, this is a great way to accomplish that as well.  In this program you also learn to dramatically increase your toolbox as a rider to become a more balanced, effective partner to your horse.  Here is an outline of our three day a week program:

Session one -- private dressage lesson with Mary Mahler

Session two -- dressage over fences gymnastic lesson with Mary Mahler

Session three -- jumping lesson with Lauren Eisele.

This program can be modified to add training rides or lessons with either trainer.  Cost for the three day a week program is $600 per month plus board (currently $750 per month for full care). Programs of four or five sessions per week have a lower per session price.  We also offer "ala carte" sessions for those wanting to test the waters first!
